Turn the light off for a couple of days. The less stress and traffic in front of his tank, the more quickly he'll adjust to his new surroundings. Also, what's the temp? He should be at 80-82F for comfort at this point.

Another update/ As I've been watching hims ince I've gotten home he's tried to swim down but floats right back up....I dont think this guys gonna make it....
 
Frank died in the middle of the night, I was unable to save him. Thank you everyone for all your advice. Unfortunately it just wasn't enough....
 
sorry man that SUCKS, but sometimes there is just nothing you can do, especially when you get them from a lfs there is no telling what he might have already contracted before you got him :( if all your parameters and everything were good then there wasnt really anything you could have done
 
I see soooo many Oscars not make it to 2 inches. Sorry to hear yours was one of them.

If you were near me I'd give you one of the 2 Oscars I'm rescuing tonight.
