Ok, so I'm getting worried about Junior, my Oscar. He recently (within the last 2 weeks) developed a pink wart-like bump dead center on his bottom lip, and I need to know what it is and how to get rid of it. I will try and post a pic or two...

Hard to say from the quality of the pics. but it looks to me to just be a diggers sore from moving gravel.

He always has his lip against the glass at the front of the tank waiting for food all day, could this be the problem?

Has he recently been moved to a new tank?

If hes rubbing the glass alot that's most likely the problem.
It doesn't look serious to me at all.
My male gold jags bottom lip is like that it comes
and goes.

puberty  , sorry couldn't resist

never seen nor heard of anything like that, a cyst?

Nothing to be worried about! My Oscar has the same thing....Its from bumping into glass, and digging up and moving gravel. Its common in tank raised Oscars.

Hope this puts your worries to rest!

Jen ;)

yeah my pike has the same thing and he has had it for a while its just a sore from hitting the glass.. and the whole gravel thingg..

It's just a callous developed from hitting the glass and not puberty.
(other callouses will develope from puberty) :naughty:
