Depending on how you did it you might be able to get away with it, I'm just going from the 125 stand I built and from what I know from building houses at work, I've seen 2x4 sag pretty bad with weight on them and a full 125 is a good bit of weight

Could add vertical support...I've constructed my 120g and 150g stands from low grade 2x4's, been a few years; no sagging as of yet.

My original design was two 2x4 running longways with two vertical 2x4 support about 18.25" apart from the corner support...but....I realized I'm unable to get a 55 gal sump in between. So thinking of running two or three 2x6 and leave the stand open in the front, but it'd have to support a 125 gal with a span of 50" to slide a 55 gal tank in the front.

...that or keep with original design and figure something else out for a sump...

I've added vertical support(2x4's) that were movable(not screwed in place) to allow movement of items below tank. I would add more than enough supports if you were to go this route

Sure, I can post a few pics tomorrow. I did see a template on Joey Uaru's DIY King you tube channel, that is very similar.
