You need to be careful, when taking them out of the tank and trying to extract something in their mouths.


What you should do now is pre-chop all of the food so that each piece is small enough, and teach your wife what is an appropriate amount to feed.

dont got tweezers that small that could fit in a baby polys mouth and it was to deep in im not gana go out lookin for tweezers that small at night when my lil guys almost dead u feel me lol but thanks hes looking better starting to swim around thats really good to see
 
hes looking better got salt in the tank temps 83 and light always off last night he found away to get past the divider i see him swiming around with my lil shortbody fh lol i hope he can eat normal i havent tired to feed him yet idk when i should try
 
hope to keep your spirit up my senegal didnt eat for what seems like weeks after todays feeding he has quite a gut on him bichirs are some of the toughest fish i ever owned

IMO.. sticking a tiny needle.. compared to a larger set of tweezers was not a bad call. And then he even took the time to make a little hook on it.. just so the chances of him getting it out where better... Even though you had to end up pushing it in.. Robert I think you did the best in a bad situation.

Sorry buddy you had to experience that :(... I think I'll have some good guidance (hope it doesn't happen) if ever I am put in a situation like that..

Hope you weren't to hard on the wife tho...

yea im beging to see that hes real tough hes swiming trying to let me know he wants food lol
