I don't know what to do with the female now. She seems lost and wants to jump out of the tank... this really is messing up my vibes to keep any more fish..SIGH

Don't give up!!! We all have bad days in the hobby. Thats part of the deal when you start. She will settle down. Just make sure that the lid is covered and start looking for a male These are tough fish to breed many try and few succeed.

Just continue your search for a captive bred male. I have seen many good looking males around my area in some lfs. Good luck and hope you do okay.
