I really thought i had this whole stingray keeping thing down pat...Had 2 rays thrive get really fat. They were my favorite fish i had ever owned..I started to dumb more money into their tank adding 2 fx5 along with the 75g sump.

So long story short i fed my fish last night and niether of my 3 rays ate. So i checked the water and all seemed very good. Ammonia was at 0 and my Ph was a steady 7.2 as always.

I came home from school today to see my 7in male and female all curled up in the corner of the tank.:(..Looked all around for my new little female and couldnt find her. finally found her at the top of the water and she was like curling up and swimming weird..

Idk what happened=[

Sorryy for the rant. Heres a picture right before i threw them out:(

Oh wow man. That really sucks. No idea what happened?

nitrite spike? u didnt mention testing for it. i've been told that a ray will always eat, so when they didnt, i would have changed the water right away regardless of whether the tests came out good or not. thats just me tho. sorry to hear about that.

Sorry for your loss I had a bad experience hat involved rays power went out for almost three days during winter and no matter what I did I could keep my three indoor ponds heated I lost 8 rays 4 arowanas and a large list of other fish let's just say it hasn't been the same since I know have a ton of empty tanks and only two with fish.... Hope you can get by this and stay in the hobby my bad day just made me wait till I can get the exact setups that I want before diving back into rays and aros

ummmm sorry for your loss but after examining the picture... both rays look VERY skinny IMO. pretty sure i can see their pelvic bones showing... you say they are/were all nice and fat, BUT they look quite the opposite... just saying....

and... after looking alittle harder, is it me or does that motoro on the right in the picture look like it has a "dent" in between it eyes? thats a tell tale sign its not being fed enough as well...
