As far as cloudy tanks I've never lost any fish in a cloudy or green tank. Every time something goes wrong the water becomes supper crystal clear. The reason for this is pretty clear (yes pun I know) the pH crash that is about to kill your fish and bio filter will also kill most of the algae, diatoms and free floating bacteria that causes cloudy/green water. That's why many dead quary lakes have very clear water.
