I managed to pick up a staff infection while cleaning a tropical salt water tank, but I think anyone that has had a full tank rupture on them had it worse. I just had an IV of antibiotics and a sore arm.

I'll take my infection, you guys can keep your broken tanks.

for sure the worse that could happen would be being electricuted. it's something that everyone would not want to experience for sure.
 
i did a complete water change after my fish died in my 20 i left the heater pluged in and when i filled it back up it shatered when the water hit it... droped a light in my 36 bow.
 
I've had 2 different 55g bursting with water on separate occasions flooding my house. Thankfully, there were no fishes on both occasions. I realise, A LEVELED TANK IS IMPORTANT!

Also my aro jumped and smacked a light clipped to the side of the tank causing it to drop in my 150g and explode. Fishes survived though there was a live wire still in the tank. Wondered why but didn't want to try my luck.

It was my first ever tank. My friend gave me one of his heaters. One of those that should only be partially submerged. I didn't know. Placed my hand, got a shock and broke the bracing on top trying to get my hand out. I was bleeding between my thumb and middle finger.
