I'm Where I'm At
past or present

Here's one of mine, I was a filler

there was this conveyer belt that brought in product with a form. a line of a dozen women looked at the form and placed the product in whatever size cardboard box the form called for

when they run low of boxes I was the guy that replenished them. that's all i did. i remember blowing my nose every break to find dust in my snot

i only lasted 4 days there

Washing dishes at a Friendlys. One night and I was out.

First job, dishwasher at age 13. Dishes were easy, washing the monster pots and pans by hand would give me nightmares. After a while I figured out I could do it faster if I didn't use soap, and just blasted them with hot water. :D

I worked in a bankruptcy lawfirm. It tottally sucked. Everyones angry cuz they're losing their stuff. Boss was constantly angry too. Stress level through the roof. And, I was the only male in an office of women. Brutal!

I worked in plastics factory that made syringe tips and other medical plastics. We worked in 12 hour shifts. I stood at a loading table looking for air bubble and other imperfections under and magnifier for hours on end.

1st job... working at a shoe store stocking shoes in the summer in 100 degree temperature... everyday new shipments would come in and I would have to move the entire shelf of shoes to make room for the other. The next day.... repeat the process. Was 16 at the time and getting $6.50/hr. Worked from 9AM-8PM 6 days a week for the whole summer... Saw my first paycheck and thought I was LOADED.

Worst actual responsibility was as a janitor and dishwasher at a daycare. Spending 5 hours a day with toddlers slinging dirty dishes at you through a window and then mopping and lugging bags of soiled diapers was pretty awful.

Worst overall was running a convenience store and keg rental service. carrying kegs gets old real quick and deliveries can be brutal (I once had to deliver 15 kegs by myself) but what really made the job suck was cheapskate old korean man I had for a boss. There were so many things I couldve sued that guy for by the time I left. He was a total scumbag to the point that he was a parody of all the terrible bosses you see in movies.

Haha x2 I use to just blast them and put them back on the shelf and the ones that were really a pain I would just toss them in the trash, the manager never noticed :D

Another bad job was when I was in college and one summer I took a job as a meter reader, dosent sound too bad... I didnt think so either when I signed up for it. All day from 6AM-4PM I would get chased by peoples dogs, having to hop fences constantly to get away. One time a guy actually pulled a gun on me because he thought I was trying to break in when I was reading his meter in his backyard... Only upside was great exercise

My worst job was my first job I lasted 4 hours and left before my shift was over. I had to do home refinancing apointments by telemarketing or something stupid like that. Sitting on a phone reading a script is easy. Calling people in the middle of dinner and having their 5 year old cuss me out... made me quit lol... I just can't take being cussed out by someone and not be able to say something (although I can't blame them for being mad, I hate it when I got telemarketing calls too, the other reason I quit)
