Bill collector. sucked at it because I feel sorry for the people getting into collections mostly for medical expenses.

then there's the hypocrisy, a lawyer racked up $500.00 in unpaid bills, landed on my desk, and my manager said I can't try to collect because she's a lawyer. WTF??!!!

Lasted three months, and one day, when I was supposed to be going to work, I drove past the place, and went to the movie theater instead and never went back.

First job, dishwasher at age 13. Dishes were easy, washing the monster pots and pans by hand would give me nightmares. After a while I figured out I could do it faster if I didn't use soap, and just blasted them with hot water. :D

Same here Dishwasher. I remember the only perk was that I could get free Mountain Dew!

Deli Manager being paid Asst. Manager wages and working 18 hour days

I was in school full time, working another part time job then working as an Asst. Deli Manager full time. Our small store was taken over by a larger store, and my awesome manager got fired - they fired everyone actually making money. So our department went without a manager for 4 months - however I took over all the responsibility. We had a few part time workers who were only doing it for the benefits so when the manager got canned they left, which left us short handed. I remember working from 5am to 11pm, I had to clock out at 1pm and then work for free from 1-11pm. I didn't have to do it, but we were so short handed I wouldn't let other people have to work short shifted.

The store manager felt bad, but there was nothing he could do, his hands were tied as his job was on the chopping block too. He did manage to get me Vikings box seat tickets a few times - his way of saying thanks.

Call center. I only did inbound, they thought I was going to have a heart attack on the floor the one time they tried to get me to do outbound. I hate telemarketers, if the customer was calling you, that was one thing, calling them was a whole different ballgame and I wouldn't do it.
That was my year in hell(not literally, I didn't quite last a year) I got to the point where I dreaded getting up in the morning even on days off. Never again.

I only had two jobs, working at BJ's wholesale club and a LFS.

BJ's was terrible. In order to do anything out of the usual on the register (such as voiding a double scan like two items ago) required the manager to come by and unluck the register and type in a code. If a customer changed their mind it was the same way and the customers were always angry because everything was super complicated because they give no power or trust to the cashiers.

I was also on the verge of getting fired for stupid write ups. I was 5 dollars over once, 5-10 dollars under a couple of times and got a write up because not all of my coupons were face up. During my "final write up" period, they suddenly doubled my hours and made me work 8-12 hours on Saturdays and Sundays so I quit before I slipped up and was fired.

bob Evans grill cook i still work there and it sucks but not complaining about the paychecks.

After the Fresno Fair, we cleared the horse stalls of bedding (hay) and all the CRAP thats in it too.

I worked for the Solid Waste division (Garbage Man), had an idiot driver dump while the hydraulic press was crunching all the garbage so we had to jump into the back and throw a whole bin's worth of trash over to the other side (it was apartment trash so imagine a whole complex's rotting garbage). When its full we go to the landfill and dump, OMG that was nasty, the ground was so toxic its gray.
