Worth It?

Why not white? My 55 is black and I wish it was white cause all the water stains show on it but on white I don't think I would see it as much. (I scrub the stand 1 time a month I make sure the stains disappear )

Good deal to me! Just sand it down, add a nice varnish and off we go! For the price it's well worth it

Do a nice wood stain. You won't regret it

View attachment 1304166 View attachment 1304167 No you see the seller is my aunt. She has taken care of This tank very well but she really is against her picture being online. And she is in the reflection. She had it running but then she put it in the garage to have space for her other 2 tanks and decided to sell it. I think I am going to go with it. So the black spot should Are me drawing her out of picture. I think I am going to pounce on it.

Lol, that’s quite a bit of info to leave out. If I’d known the seller was your aunt, my opinion would have been much different.

I’d definitely say to grab it if it’s something you want. It sounds like a pretty good deal to me.

alright i may have lied. she never told i couldn't post pictures i just did not want to cause the stand and canopy are ugly.
So instead of having everyone impressed with how you took a fixer-upper and fixed it up you decided to give everyone a reason to doubt and disbelieve everything you post from now on?

yes i am very embarrassed. But i will make a thread with pictures of the tank and me fixing it up and making it look good. sorry. :(

Just because its been in storage, when you get it home test fill it somewhere safe and make sure there are no leaks and you should be good to go...

It has only been in the garage for a few weeks she said.

test it either way....
+1

Always a good plan to test it, no matter where it is from or what people say. Unless they literally drain the tank in front of you, the tank has to be tested

I agree, just moving a tank incorrectly could cause problems to seams etc, so always better to be safe than sorry ;)
