These two Oscars are 4 years old, the owner offered them for FREE

They have the worst case of HITH disease ever

Worth saving them? :WHOA:

If you have the capability to rescue them, I deffinately would. Those fish deserve a better home than what they have now. I don't know if hith can be cured when it is that severe, but I have heard some say that it can be cured from minor cases. Regardless, you would have to dose aquarium salt for who knows how long to reverse its progress. I would still get them though. It would be a good feeling knowing you rescued those fish from a bad home.

That one really looks like he needs euthinized. He looks terrible,..all rotted & eatin away and what not.

even look at his lateral line :[

makes me sad

The one is deffinately worth saving imo, the worse one I guess you would have to observe and see how badly it is being affected by the sickness.

i'd take them anyway and try to cure it, its not like your paying for the fish so you could spend some money on meds

If they are still eating its worth a shot. But I have seen oscars with that bad HITH that would no longer eat, then they get weaker and weaker.

Burt :)

these poor guys have been severely neglected!

i hope you manage to save both of them
