i got a 400g tank and it wont fit down the stairs to the basement. would it be ok to put on the second floor or will it break through the floors cuz it so heavy?

u would need more info on your flooring

could be a big mistake!! 3360lbs worth. The only other option is to shore up the rafters in the basement and make sure you place the tank across the rafters and not in line with them. Good luck

yeah check and see if ur house can hold that weight..depending on age of floor and huse

No, not if you live in a timber house

WOW I WANT TO SEE BEFORE AND AFTER PIC'S PLEASE POST THEM IF YOU DESIDE ON DOING THAT....

GOOD LUCK AND HAVE FUN....

only if you originally wanted it to be on the first floor

:D

i dont think i would trust it, most timber floors aren't made to hold that weight in such a small area, if it was concrete maybe, i would agree in finding out whats under your floor ect and strengthening it if need be.

take a look at your garage.. the floor is reinforced concrete.. and it holds your car... (3000 pounds +)

take a look at your basement (the thin layer of wood + some layer of wood supports it).. do you think that is stronger than your reinforced concrete in your garage? ^^

unless your house is build with concrete or steel frame.. else.. you can say Bye Bye to it IF you put it in first floor :D
