Queen conches? Abalone?

I had quit considering a horn shark for my tank because I was worried that I couldn't get anything to clean my tank then, but now I'm thinking perhaps there are some critters that it wouldn't be able to eat?

About 95% of a horn shark's diet is hard-shelled invertebrates.
Yeah :/

I was just slightly hoping that a 1 foot snail covered in what could be considered heavy armor would have a chance at surviving the horn shark.

I guess I'll have to stick to cat and carpet sharks.

If you keep it well fed you can keep alot of critters with them. I just got rid of a 28" horn shark (taking big tank down) and in the same tank were tons of hermit crabs, emerald crabs, snails and other critters which he never ate. I fed mine every 3 days and mixed up foods. He was def strong and broke the feeding tong I used hahaha (strong bite)

A 1ft snail doesn't have much of a chance against a 40" horn shark designed to crack hard-shelled inverts.
I see. I expected as much.

This, however, does give me a little hope, for my entire tank, in fact. Other sharks that I intend to also keep may not be as good at breaking hard shelled invertabrates, but they still will eat them if they get a chance. Good to know that keeping them well fed can drop the risk drastically.
