would a small royal pleco be ok in a 36" 58 gallon

If you are going to move it into a bigger tank in six months then go ahead but otherwise I wouldn't becase they grow quite lage.

6 month? their growth rate is so fast. Thought it like 2~3" a year

@ 2-3" a year that would give more time then 6 months. Of course we don't know the size right now. We could only assume about 3 inches right now.

So a 6 inch pleco in a 'deep' 58 gallon will have lots of moving room

I wish they can grow faster :) those giant panaque make me go crazy..Meantime get a few small ones and a big one for the hope. Dun know how long it takes...
