Yeah I get bacterial blooms when I add a large amount of new surface area as well.. the bacteria re-colonizes to where it grows most efficiently (oxygenated) and if it finds the BioMedia in the AC300 to be more suitable than say, your substrate, then it will re-bloom and you will see a bit of cloudiness.
