I personally love the Oscar JD combo. Mine get along great and never once even acted like they were going to fight. It is almost like they don't even know that the other one is there. Good luck. I think you're going to be very happy.
Would an Oscar work with a JD or am I asking for trouble?..

I bought my JD and the same time as my Oscar. They were the same size. Now my O is about 7 inches and my JD is about 3 or 4. The O is going about 4 inches to the JD's 1 inch. So far it is working but sure wish my JD would grow.
Like others have said O's are big puppy dogs. If it weren't for their size they'd be considered wimps. All of these other sites saying how aggressive O's are is BS IMO.
I've had O's get along great with EBJD's and Regulars. The O's were always a bit bigger though. I'd be a bit hesitant to put a 2" O in with a 5" regular JD. It all depends on the personality of the JD and whether he considers a baby O a threat. I'd go for it.

Well.. I'd only planned on having the one O but came out with THREE!!...
LFS had choice of fantail Albino O pair (about 10 inch) and 2 - 3 inch Tiger Os so we decided on the babies. Hard to say for sure at this size but we think (hoping) we got a male and 2 females. Lovely bright colours and markings, especially the biggest who we're thinking is the male. At the moment they're following my placid Geo around like he's mother duck. JD mostly sulking in her caves but totally ignores them when she comes out... so far so good.. (phew)
I'll take some pics once they get settled.
