Would anyone know whats going on with me Leo?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well, i thought it was a nitrate problem. Now i don't think so. After my last wc it happened again. I checked water perams and everything checked out good.
Wc done last Friday night and today he still has spots. Just a mystery i guess. He's still acting ok and eating. So i guess I'll watch and wait

Like I said earlier, when mine appeared it was always right after a water change and then diminished thereafter. Never had nitrate or any parameter issues. Behavior never changed. As the rays matured it appeared less and less. Now that they are all over 10" I never see it any more.

Update.
Male Leo still gets the white spots. It's been 7 months
It's not a water param issue. Water can't get much better. I think maybe it's just a pup thing. The way they grow or something.?

My bd has this exact same thing. Comes and goes. I've never worried as the ray seems very healthy and is the most dominant of my trio. Its 13 inch female and probably 14-15 months old.
I always thought it happems as the ray grows.. but not so sure if this is true now as some members here have posted that some of their blacks dont get it at all.

If its feeding and growing well.. and not acting strange or showing erratic behaviour.. i wouldn't change anything.. just keep up with good tank amd filtration maintenance.

This is a very strange issue as my biggest female p14 got them about 6 months ago but they all turned into normal white spots

I will get a picture later as the spots on the female went crazy
