there in a 75g. the sengal is about 9" and fat, the ornate about 7.5" not that fat, the knife about 7", and the rope about 11". at first i thought they may mistake his tail as a worm, but have never had a problem. only problem is the knife is still to scared to come out with the lights on. he comes out and cruises around with my cold cathode lighting though, so i know all is well.

A large tank like that is so forgiving, i don't know   maybe i have to plan something different but thanks for all your suggestions..

You are already stocked in a 29 gallon tank each bichir should reach approx 1 foot within a year and the ropes 18 or so inches a bgk 18+ inches unless you have a much larger tank in your close future I'd forget about the the ghost in a 29 you're likely to have territorail agression-Anne

Hi No this is short term only.. i have no intention of keeping in a 29gal..the bichirs are going into the 125gal with the frontosa later.. i just needed a 6 months time capsule plan.. for the 29gal. thank you

Frontosa are very peaceful ..maybe not as much as discus but close.. but i do have to do a little balancing with size of bichir and size of Fronts.. there could be a possibility that the fronts will be too big for the bichir and in that case i will have to put the bichir in with pacu in 220gal. My pacu are super gentle and alone in the tank.. thank you for bringing that to my attention.. i quess as time goes on i will have to judge what and where to put them.. but i have decided not to put the ghost knife in with bichirs at all.. just do not want to chance it.. thanks!;)

i have a clown knife in with 2 bichirs and they get along fine the clown knife is about 16" and the bichirs are around 10". i have had these in togeter from the beginning.:)

I thank you for letting me know.. i quess i would not hesitate if i were putting them all into a 75gal at least..just to give them all alot of space..but in a smaller tank i would worry.. i have a GREAT clown knife so i do not want to have anything go wrong.. so i am thinking of setting up a bigger tank..thanks;)

They should be fine with each other as long as they're both about the same size. Both species are relatively peaceful.
