would guppys go with gourmas and a red talied shark

as long as the gouramies aren't kissing gouramies or giant gouramies and the guppies are all adults/near-adults, yes

don't put them in with a giant gourami...death and mayhem awaits

RTC will appreciate the snacks .

The RTC will "taste" (sample) anything it can possibly almost fit in it's mouth.

Not a good idea.

I think you misread it. Its not a rtc its an red tail shark or I did I misread it?

Dwarf Gouramis should be fine, anything bigger might cause a problem. The sharks should be fine too, but any guppy with red in its tail will be harrassed by the shark. Now if you are using fancy guppies you gotta be real careful, cause I've seen the nicest fish go after the fins.

I think he meant red-tailed shark, not the red-tailed catfish.

Anyways, red-tailed sharks can get about 6 inches. "These can be nasty fish, and probably should not be kept with conspecifics in any aquarium smaller than 55-75 gallons. They will keep to themselves (mostly) when they are given many hiding spaces. They often swim up and down in front of the aquarium glass and are valued members of the community tank because of that behavior. Less-tough bottom-dwellers are at risk. The RTBS may pester shy fish to the point where they succumb to the stress. That's something I found about them online." The Doctor.

If he was talking about an RTC, then he has WAY bigger things to worry about than it eating its tankmates. He meant RTS! :D

I've had my Red Tail Black Shark in with guppies and small (<4") gourami's with no problems. I find that my shark only bothered fish that had the same colour and or shape as itself during feeding time.

What size is the tank (unless I miss it)? What gouramis do you have? Red-tailed black sharks? Obviously not unless your tank has a wide area.
