Would it be okay if I put 4 Bala sharks and 2 silver dollars in a 75 gallon tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
This is an update: I'm gonna put 6 red belly piranhas in a 125 gallon and put 5 elephant noses and a rope fish in the 75. Does that sound good to you guys
125 should be good for the P's. I'd get 8 or 9 and grow them out, sell off troublemakers. You might lose a couple in the process, as has been stated P's like to take chunks out of each other.

If you want the silver dollar look in a 75 look into a decent sized shoal of Columbian tetras. A 75 is indeed way to small for balas or silver dollars. If you want the more streamlined look check out greater scissor tails, very under rated fish imo

Which family of fish do the scissor tails belong to? I don't recall seeing them before.

Nice,I'll have to read up on them.

Camaro show keeps amazonian soft water fish and a smooth skinned fire eel in a 90 gallon. The tank is decorated full of dead sharp coral.
I can't think of a more unsuitable tank for its inhabitants.
The coral will buffer the water and could easily injure the eel.
He was also surprised to see his cichlids digging in the substrate. Asking if cichlids dig is like asking if bears crap in the woods.
Op,this is not a man who's advice on fish i would trust.
Camaro Show, If your not truly experienced on the subject it's best to stay quiet. What's the point in advising the wrong thing? It won't help the op,it won't help the fish and you can easily end up looking stupid.
Why don't you get your facts right! The coral is all fake coral that was never alive I have 7 years of experience probably more then you do why don't you keep your mouth shut instead of lying about my tank if you have a question I would gladly answer it for you.
