I've never had rays before and I was thinking of trying with a tankmate or two in the 4x2x2.
Would the ray be ok with a trio of Hepsetus Odoe?

i would say no.... most characins are no good with rays.... a 4x2x2 will need to be upgraded as well a 180 6x2x2 would be better for overall water quality... rays put out alot of waste so the more water with powerful filtration the better.... do a search there are alot of threads on tank mates and rays

Ok cool.
The ray idea is still kind of up in the air.
I'm honestly not ready for rays right now anyways.
So I'll just wait and research this summer and really think about it.

I might just put a Trimac in the 4x2x2
