I was wondering if I could get a divider for my 10 G baby fish growout tank and have the other side for 1 or 2 cichla orinocensis. Should I get 1 or 2? Also the 10 G is my best bet because my 20 50 and other tanks are occupied. Could I have the fry on one side and the cichla orinocensis on the other side? Also how hard to keep are 1.5-1.75 inch orinocensis. Info would be apreciated thnx:grinno:

If you've seen my threads, I've grown out small pbass in a 5 gallon tank, so I dont wee why you wouldnt be able to do what you're planning. The higher the temp the better. I wouldnt go less than 86 deg myself, 90 if you can. I dont know if convict fry can live in that kind of temps though. I've fed strictlybloodworm until they are ready to accept other foods, but you need good quality bloodworms.

Will it be okay if I take some convict fry and plop it in his side for food every other day combined with B-worms would that be okay? And yes I do read your growout threads and I think they are good

Thank You! Feed them whatever they will eat. The more they eat the better! Eventually though you will want to get them on pellets as their staple diet.
