Hello

I have aquarium since 15.
Always the same thing. My fresh water is not crystal.
At pet shop, the water is very very clear. What is the secret.

I have now a 1200 Litres Aquarium with an EHEIM 2080.
Two neons of 36 each and T°C is 25.5.
I change 20% each week.
I do not overfeed my fish

I have only one big fish inside : An Arowana (juvenile) VFSR + 4 little corydoras.
No plants inside and no sand at the bottom.

So MFKs, what to do to have a crystal clear water ?
Please help me.

You probably need more bio filtration, as stated above. Look into a Magnum 250 or 350, these come with a polishing pleted style filter, like those used in drinking water setups, made my murky 55(just cleaned) clear again in a day, all my tanks are crystal clear, I believe because of my bio capacity from having redundant filters.

:iagree:

You could try a diatom filter. It will remove TINY particles, but will clog quick. You will only need to run it occasionally. Also you could try Purigen.

Try doing 40% waterchange instead of 20%.
