Would or have you ever asked...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I normally ask them to double bag then and put pure oxygen in the bag or no air at all since I have to drive AT LEAST half an hour before i get my fish home...no matter where I buy them at. Sometimes its over 4 to 6hrs. before i get them back. I always let them know though that i have a long trip and normally they are more than eager to put real oxygen in.

Blowing in bags isn't very dangerous for fish at all. Like Nick said, human lungs aren't very efficient at turning oxygen into carbon dioxide. It's definately better to blow some air into the bag than to not put any air in the bag at all, but better to fill the bag with pure oxygen than to blow air into it.

whats wrong with watching discovery channel? its very interesting but not as much as animal planet
The National Geographic Channel owns both Animal Planet and the Discovery Channel! AHAHA!!! And for those of you that don't think so, wait until they come out with their series on the giant fish of freshwater! :p

Air going into ur lungs contains around 21% oxygen and air leaving it contains around 16.4%

Ps: sry wrong figures just now...

See the other thread, I make them redo it, I have gotten a couple sour looks but the managers have never given me a hard time after I point out that it is a potential health department issue.
