When you grow up your daddy wont pay for everything you know.
I do know that
and i do plan on repaying him
im not harsh on my dad i rarely ask for stuff
@fobrinkle Yes i plan on doing this ing round it was actually a typo but i meant to type 30 ft instead of 3 ft

I am actually planning on doing most of the work also
my dad is just paying for it and then i am repaying for this project

I assume you mean a 50 kilowatt per hour heater, right? Well thats going to be very expensive the run, with my calculations it will be over $200,000 per year(edit: i think it would be more like 400,000). So unless your interested in dropping some serious coin on heating I would ditch the tropical fish.

just get a 1500-3000 gallon, drop the aripima and sturgon... use the 50,000 gallon for coldwater fish and fish in it... to tell you the truth this all seems a bit unrealistic... you would have to dig a LOT and it would take forever... you really need one of those diging machines... anyway, if you put them in a pond that large you wouldn't see the fish and it would be a waste of time and money...

Definitely a bad idea. For the cost to build and heat that thing you'd be better of building a 2000 gallon indoor pond. Unless you're rich. If you live somewhere where it is warm all year then it could be possible but it just seems like way too much work to me especially digging that by hand.

Assuming the national average of $0.11 per KWHr the heater will cost $5.50 per hour.

If the heater needs to stay on for 4 hours every day to maintain temps, it's going to cost $22 per day or $660 per month. In the summer you probably won't need heaters at all, but for at least 4 months out of the year, I'm pretty sure you will be spending quite a bit of money to maintain tropical temps. You may want to look into species that can tolerate your local seasonal temps.

Heating large bodies of water is very expensive.

just let the kid dream.... i wanted a giraffe when i was younger i didn't actually get round to building the zoo for it just drew it with crayons
