at my LFS they have aquatic snails ( I think apple snails) about as big as my fist ... I was wondering if one could live with my oscar and other cichlids, gt , jd ,tex,
also do these snails produce alot of waste?

hopefully things wll work out my 10 in O hasn't ever tried to eat my 2 in texas female so maybe it would leave the snail alone.

oscars eat inverts naturally but give it a shot

I have a large snail in with my cichlids. It was mostly by accident as for some reason the others died in my 10 gallon. I thought I'd put him in the 125 with my JD, GT, Texas and others just to see what happened. He's been going three weeks strong so far. No one bothers him.

okay I'll give it a shot. if he starts getting attacked it can live with my fire bellied newt lol.

My applesnails havent been touched by the oscars, they dont seem to care at all. =)

I'd be more concerned about the senagalus - bichars will eat anything they can catch

this snale could never fit inside my senegal's mouth lol :) and if he tried to bite it wouldn't it just close up it's shell?

Those snails you found are either Pomacea canaliculata, Pomacea insularum or Pomacea haustrum. They rival goldfish and plecos for the amount of wastes produced. All apple snails do. As for compatibility, forget mixing snails with those fish you have.
