Would this fish be a show quality fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Its definitly a nice fish. But there is only one way to know.As ray lucas said at the show yesterday,"you gotta be in it,to win it." ;)

Agreed - some judges prefer natural (not line bred) fish... while others are just the opposite. There are, of course, no standards...so it's all up to the opinion of the judge.

It also depends on his condition at the time of the show. Did he split a fin or lose a scale or two in transport? That can be the difference between placing first and getting nothing.

Also, it depends on his deportment. How does he act in the bare 10g tank with nothing but a sponge filter? I've had glass bangers cower in the corner in such conditions...

It's a pretty fish. But there are no guarantees in the world of showing fish :nilly:
