I personally would pass. Plant light basically. You need different spectrum light for Coral and live Rock.

Look into the mars aqua. I have 2 of the 165 over my 75 and 1 over my 40 frag tank.

1000w is also probably too much depending on how high you hang it off the tank. I second the Mars Aqua. It's a decent like at a cheap price.

I asked my dad (he has been a reefer for years) and he said that it MAY work, but to keep the light atleast 2 feet above the tank to avoid burning the corals because that is major overkill, my dad has a 54 corner and he has a 250 watt. Also, that light is meant for plants, not corals, corals like more blue light. Simply put, it may work, but don't count on it

This light will give you crazy amounts of algae growth. The red spectrum and PAR is meant for plants (algaes) and will not be useful for growing corals. Some good lights to look at would be Kessil a80, and AI Prime
