"if you have a fish that tends to fight will all your outher ones or is being agressive, do this.
Punish him/her by takeing them out and putting them in a small tank or a small divider.
Make him no that what he did was wrong and leave him in there for 2-3 days. Let him back out or put him back into the tank he was first in and if he still fights repeat untill he gets the idea and wont fight with your outher fish."

Would that actully work... sounds something u would do for a dog or cat or something

It sounds ridiculous but I did this and it worked. I had a completely nutso JD that attacked everything in my tank. I took him out and put him in a heated, filtered polybox for a couple of days. Put him back, same thing. So I did this 3 times, and since I've put him back he's been absolutely fine. Not aggressive at all.

This comes up all the time.You cant teach a fish to "behave" its doing whatever its doing because its a fish and following its instincts.

Think it would work with? my 5" arowana hes beating my silver one up whose 4" they are fine 90% of the time but he will nip at him when he gets to close to him

Giving the fish that are getting beat on a chance to recover and stake out a territory is the reason to remove the agressive fish not to teach it a lesson
