oh yeah the loaches...well arent Apple Snails a little bit big for Kuhlii Loaches?Pyramid_Party;2590834; said:Not too bad as long as theres good filtration and maintenance. Also, Id worry about the snails surviving.

im not sure of the species. These Snails that I saw in the LFS are about 2 1/2'' wide with a brown shell with some ridges over the shell. The flesh is kindof the color of apple flesh. Im pretty sure theyre Apple snails They are actually very fast for snails and i see them crawling up the glass, reaching the surface, letting go, floating for a few seconds, then burping out a huge air bubble and sinking. interestingly these snails never at any point pull into their shell, but hit the ground foot-doen and keep going. The thing is, the LFS keeps them with Carp, in cold water. Could I put it in the water suitable for the Loaches, Glass Cats, and Rafaels?Lupin;2591848; said:Which golden apple snails are these exactly? Pomacea diffusa or Pomacea canaliculata? Canas tend to be more pushy when it comes to foods. Kuhlis will work fine with snails as will hillstreams and dojos. They're the only loaches that will work so far with snails.
