I'd say no, but only because I've seen what senegals look like when raised in a 3000L tank from juvis. You probably could keep one, just, but if you're interested in poly's save your cash for a 75g and get a few of them.

I agree, and like King-eL said, you're going to want a lot more eventually anyways ;)

3 is pushing it, but 2 would be fine, id just save up for a 55 and get 5! ;)

Well cohazard knows best!:grinno: you could put like 4 sens in a 55g right?(not that i want any)

haha I don't know best, I should've said in my last post that IMO 40g is the smallest you would want to go, even with the CB stock.

Sens are known for being one of the most active species of polypterus, and even my 5" albino uses all the space in my 120g.

4 sens would be fine in a 55g tank.

Dude new tanks are a waste of money! It's all about craigslist! Just look for some 55g tanks, then offer everyone 80 bucks for what they have and barter from there. You'll get lucky eventually with someone. If you find one with free fish, just sell the fish off. I bought my setup for 140 then sold the included fish for 80 you just gotta play the craigslist game.

That's good thinkin'! Just beware of tanks that have been abused and might be prone to busting at the seams

lol thats how i got my 30g with everything included only $30

I wouldn't. Maybe short bodies, but it would have to be a 30g with the right dimensions.

40g is the minimum for normal senegalus, especially if you want to keep more than one. Even a 40g is cramped.

agreed. I bought my 40g Long at a yard sale and my 2 senegals are just over half grown. It seemed big when I got it but now it seems small and I wish I had the room for a longfin and a delhezi and a palmas polli and a retropinnis and... and.... Needless to say I'm looking for a drilled 125 to move them to :D Get the biggest tank you can, at least 55-75g
