Would this work

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
3 red bellies would, but the rhom will either kill the 3 or the other way around, best it either 3 red bellies or the rhom by itself

THEN SOMBODIES GONNA DIE!

Once i get a 150 gallon, we'll all see i guess.

Cause i want to have 3 Red bellies, but i also don't want to have more than 3 tanks.

Well technically, I don't know wether it's a Spilo or a rhom.

I'm going to say...

one 8" serra family versus three 4" red bellies

I will probably have my 150 gallon by january.

With that much room it has the potential to work, if both species are well fed.

Even with good feeding and enough room, however, expect to see lots of fin nips on your nattereri.

I kept 6 redbellies and 1 rhom in a 150 gal. The rhom kept all 6 reds in one corner of the tank and tore their fins up.The reds being in the corner all the time would then fight with each other. The reds were about 6 inches the rhom 5 inches.I had to put the rhom in a 55 gal or the reds eventuaoly woul be killed. They were no match.

thats some pretty expensive experiment there. thats the only way to go is to have 2 tanks if you want to keep your serra and pygos. even if you had enough money to get the largest tank you can the serra will dominate the tank. serras do not like any other fish in their territory and eventually the whole tank will be the serras tank. for the fishes sake and happiness get another tank. i hate to see serras or pygos get messed up for an experiment.

3 reds in a 150 is a waste. get two rhoms and and divide the tank.
