Seriously man :chillpill:, and get over yourself.

No one cares do they, I read through this thread and others agree that is it possible, obviously they care. Also learn about dimensions of a tank before shotting your mouth and saying that a 55 is only 12" wide because unless your tank is 24" high your wrong (not many 55 are 24" tall). But you've probably bought your tank being told its a 55 and assumed this to be correct, do yourself a favor get out a measuring tape and a calculator and work out exactly how many gallons your tank truly holds. Look at my previous post to see what a 60gal can be.

I am well aware that Oscars produce more waste the other fish their size, but do you actually believe they produce more waste then a 36" fish, very unlikely. I will continue to compare the two scenarios as it is exactly the same thing even if you choose not to believe so. Thats your choice which other can feel free not to go along with (not everyone has to agree with you, you do know that don't you?). The hormone crap, I have read that before, it is a theory that big fish put out growth inhibitors to slow other fish growth down even stunting them (mainly used with discus keeping). I have never seen results of a study from it. If you have them, show them, if not it is just a theory.

I have alot of personal experience with Oscars, I like alot of people, started this hobby with Oscars in a tank way to small for them. Two in a 30gal, I then upgraded to a 55 and purchased another Oscars (stupid but I didn't know better back then). They lived there until they reached 9" for the biggest one and 8" for the other two. Once I began really getting into this hobby I realised my tank was to small for what was in it (more fish then just the 3 O's) so I went out and bought my 220.

To this day I have never had HITH or any other disease affect my Oscars. Can you say the same?

There is an article I read somewhere, it is about a guy who kept Oscars in a small tank (something like 20gal per fish), if anyone has it could you please post it or a link to it. As he was successful.

:clap ok Nova!
