My 56 has some nice chips like that and has held water just fine.... but tbh... I'm not sure if I'de trust a few hundred gallons with chips like those....at that price.. not sure but the chips look like they are all on the depth not length.. might be worth it to just replace that peice of glass compleately if your handy. That thing has to be a beast though to move.

yes, just like a rock chip in a wind shield?how about if i esentually did a plywood build and slid the glass tank inside?sorry im just trying to work any angle i can think of.i trust people on this site.i've been keeping fish for30 years.but up untill jan 2011 ive never had anything bigger than a 75.

a tank that size for that price me personally Id get it at least you know up front its got the chips if the person selling it is willing to fill it to show it holds water is always a plus but either way I would get it.

what would you guys think if i made 2x4 frame to go around the outside of the tank to help support where the pain is chipped?and i used some foam insulation to transport it? thanks again

its an accident waiting to happen in my opinion mate dont risk it

took 8 people to get my 300 in the basement.and im pretty sure none of those guys would help move another tank that size:) wondering if a complete ply wood frame might work?esentually a plywood tank with a glass insert.would this take all the pressure off the chipped pane? i am pretty handy.i build motorcycles(not just asseble mind you).build book cases, head boards, ect ect
