I seen a transaction between 2 FFL dealers at a gun shop where a mp5 with barrell kit was sold for 5g's perhaps i misunderstood the deal or did not know the inside info. I do know of some mp5 clones that go for a grand u could get 1 of those in .45 it would be almost as cool being u know semi auto. I just don't like the mac family never shot the 10 but i have shot alot of mac11 in .380.

You probably saw a dealer sample. No civilian can own a FA weapon made after 1989. That means only a limited number of FA are available unless the law changes. Its crazy how high the price of these guns are now. In 1987 one could purchase a full auto M-16 for about $1.5-2K, today an M-16 would cost you about $15,000 with some in the $20-25,000 range!

Ive seen full auto Thompsons (Tommy Guns) for sale at gun shows in the $50k neighborhood!

If I could get a comfortable shoulder harness that didnt interfere with my toolbelts suspenders Ild open carry at work. I dont need a lisence to carry open or concealed here.

Maybe I shouild design a holster that is both a shoulder harness and toolbag suspenders.

i think that is kinda true. when properly licensed you can own FA in indiana and michigan. i know guys who own FA in both states. they both shoot reguarly as well.

I do not CC at work but then I also am on the Escaped animal fire team and charged with the key to a scoped Model 70 .308 and a Mossberg 12ga at work also.. so not much of a point...

Really only CC on my person when I'm elsewhere and even then rarely. I keep either a CZ-52 or TT-33 in my car almost always though anytime I'm on the road..

I'm not a little guy or anything and I'm not afraid to throw down if some idiot tries to mug me but.. I keep a pretty rough knife on my keys just in case. Always good to have handy when I'm pumping gas down in rough neighborhoods. My boss told me I wasn't allowed to carry a knife around with me at work and I just told him to f... off. Never said anything back to me about it lol.

I know you asked a question quite a while back, but I have an answer to your question.

There was a thread in an open carry forum, about a man who's wife was robbed walking out of a grocery store to her car, by knife point. From now on, that lady, always open carries her gun. The husband, wonders if maybe, had she been open carrying, would his wife have been robbed?

Even though you can get an LTC/CCW in some places, many more, like California, you are not allowed to unless you have a 'need' to. As in you are law enforcement, or you deal with large sums of money transportation etc etc.

Open Carry is completely legal as long as you follow the rules, and it is against the law for officers to stop you and detain you or disarm you, if you are following the rules. To find out more go here: http://opencarry.org/


I find it pretty interesting, that we may not be able to conceal our weapons, but we are able to 'brandish' them in public and have it be completely legal, as long as they are unloaded and ammo is on your 'weak side'.

It takes people less than 1.5 seconds with training to be able to go from holstered/unloaded to ready to fire. It could take someone that long to un-holster their gun from the small of their back (not likely though) and be ready to fire.

A motto I heard (from a movie no doubt lol and from other people too) that I think is pretty useful and something that can be said to live by, is "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it."

I don't usually venture into the lounge but this thread has been a major eye opener for me.

I am blown away by how many of you guys carry weapons on an everyday basis. This is something totally unheard of in my country...I honestly could not imagine what it would feel like walking around knowing that so many people are armed. I would feel very uncomfortable knowing that.

I am so greatful that I live in a country where I don't feel the need to carry a weapon in order to feel safe.
