Honest. Opinions, I found a 8 ft by 3ft by 2 ft tank and stand for 300.00. hold s water but owner said it is an old custom tank, possibly 15 years old. 3 chips, he said they are mild and it has held all this time for him. That is a lot of damn water, would you trust this. Last thread I kept getting comments to just wait instead of going new, could this my chance, if needed reseal, could tank this size be reseal to near perfection ???

I'de try to talk him down to 200 with having to reseat it. Go look at it before you make any offers though. See how bad the chips are, check for bowing, water stains from a tank that old thats what I would be looking for.

If it is somewhat close to you go take a look at it. Post some pictures of the damage as there are plenty of people here that would give you an honest opinion.

Your defo in need of a lot of close up pics before you make that journey , I too would haggle the price on the basis of a re-seal

Thats a steal even if it does leak...$20 worth of silicone to refurb it is an afterthought in my opinion. Probably very heavy if its glass, thats the only downfall

I agree. Go check it out, but plan on bringing a few friends.

Yep. I'd do it. Fill it up at his house. How long since it had water in it?

Chances like this do not come by often you should go for it even if you have to reseal it, its still worth the money for what your getting
