yeah i agree. there's only so much you can do to protect your kids. sometimes you gotta let them deal with it and face the world. dont want them to grow up being completely sheltered or else they'll get eaten alive in the real world

well, i aggree and let them express themselves. :) Up to a point of course.

I dont think dragon earing jewelry is that point. I think its pretty. Let her wear it. Be glad its not a thong sticking out of her pants. LOL

Completely agree. I think she wouldn't fit in with the crowd.
Nothing wrong with that...

I'd rather have any kids I may have wear some weird dragon thing on their ear than go with some of the stuff the "crowd" does any day...

You know what.... My daughters a lil overweight and shes 9 years old . Its crap like that attitude that makes her afraid to go to school . I cant have an avatar that says retard in it but you can talk about fat people like its nothing . I call B.S

I'm sorry about your daughter and I'm sure she is going to get over her anxiety and love her self for who she is. Hell, you never know, once she starts maturing she might become a knock out and when them boys start knockin on the door you might wish she was still a bit on the bigger side!!

If I ever caught my daughter making fun of a class mate just because she was fat (Id be ok if the girl was a fat bully), she would be in big trouble! I hope to raise her with more respect then that.

However I think you kind of answered your rant in your own reply. What ever made you FEEL you had the right to have the word "retard" in your avatar is also what made me FEEL I had the write to say fat.

I know its kind of hard to get humor in typed word but that is all I meant by it...humor. I was just making an observation of the kind of people that wear that kind of stuff and why I wouldnt let my girl wear it.

btw JD. I did think your post was harsh. But no hard feelings. You're a cool person :) I understand humor. Just get a little sensitive about that kind sometimes.

Really, my beef was with the other guy. lol

Those Dungeon and Dragon playing, Magic card collecting, trekkie nerds! lol

I resent that stereotyping statement. It is insensitive and demeaning to those of us who never collected Magic the Gathering cards. And I think I have a piece similar to that somewhere so back off.D&D Trekkies FTW:headbang2

dont get on our case.

I thought the moment i read that that it was harsh whether joking or not.
Its messed up to say that someone who wears that his some fat goth trekkie nerd.

Dont get all aggressive and start demeaning and calling us insecure.

I'm just saying that statement was over the top and steriotypical and I didnt like it.
You have a problem with me not liking it? Am i mistaken or do we have to aggree with whatever everyone else says on this forum.

YOU :chillpill:
Listen, I have no agression towards you or anyone else, I simply took the time to read what was said and didn't find that it met up to the statements which you made against it.

If you actually read the statement instead you would have seen that there was a simple statement of " thats what comes to mind" IE INTENTIONALLY PULLING up the steriotype... There was NO mention that someone wearing that IS all those things... simply that is what the Image in their mind was, Just as your asking to be able to share your opinions without aggrivation, Everyone else has the same right to it.

Again I don't care eitherway and it's simply a fashion statement which parents will approve of or disaprove of for their own reasons...

I don't see a problem with it. And by the way I am not a
Dungeon and Dragon playing, Magic card collecting, trekkie nerds!
I just encourage people to find who they are and not to just fit into the little niche that this government and media organizations would like us to.
