The fin patterns and sheen on it would make me think male. But the bars would say female. But judging from what I can see of the vent, it's a male.

Male because of the spaced vertical markings. Also because the colors on the fins and the body. The body shape is more stream line as well which concludes to a male. Males get chunky (thicker body) when they are around 14 inches or so as females are more stocky at a younger age. The thing that is throwing me off is the bars are conected usually males wont get that.
