Would you sell your fish to someone with no experience

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a couple of days ago i gave my entire breeding colony of red shrimp to a friend FOC.

for me it was more about making sure they are homed with someone knowledgeable, rather than money; despite it's value being rather high.

I likely wouldn't give any to someone inexperienced, even if offered money

Dont blame you there. I have never kept shrimp but i imagine they are quite delicate beeing so small.

they are, even the hardiest of neocaridina and caridina are sensitive compared to fish; any ammonia, medication or copper and its game over

i figured. I have a planted setup at my grandmothers that i thought about adding some to. But i ended up deciding not to because of that

Never sold fish to someone directly. Traded some to a LFS back in the 90s when I was reducing my tanks. But normally I keep them for life.

I just recieved carbon blues and yellow pumpkins through the post the other day, 5 day trip and all was fine :)

I have only sold fish to people that I know will be able to look after them, usually friends with a few tanks that are good fishkeepers :)
