I vote "no". In a large enough tank it might work but that would need to be one huge tank. IMO getting one and putting it with four dovi is a waste of money and the waste of a fish.

I agree. 4 Doviis are more than a hand full already.

Some thing like this may have worked for you but you have to remember a dovi will get up to 30 inches and a texas if its lucky will reach 12 so its safe to say in do time no matter how pissed off a texas can get the dovi just gets to big and just a reminder we are talking four dovi's that are more then likely going to pair off and whats the pissed off texas going to do with a pair of dovi attacking him... "NOT TO MUCH" This situation is only going to work in a 1000 gal tank (that would be sweet) but just my opinion!!!

The Dovii just get too big for the Texas to handle. I voted no just based on the fact (like many others have stated) the Dovii just get too big, and if they manage to pair off it's game only for the Texas, and the other Dovii...
