I feel so bad! I was dropping some NLS for my night time feeders and my Black Aro flipped out! Ended up on the floor. By the time I got him back into the tank he has, maybe 10-15 missing scales.

Will they grow back? How can I help him?

Salt? Raise temp? How high, how fast?

Please help!

Scales don't grow back super fast but they won't take forever. A little bit of salt never hurts to avoid infection. Dont fret too much about it. Watch its behavior for abnormalities. Is it eating? Is it swimming normally? Stuff like that. Raising the temp also never hurts. Bump it up to 81-82 or so for a couple days

Salt and increased temp will help, but most important is clean water and food. Should be alright, its going to take some time(should be less than 1 month) till the scales grow back.

Clean water + 100. Keep as much bacteria away as possible.

And keep the lights off or down for awhile to lower stress.

Aros suck for that lol

Yeah, better than me. We got distracted after maintenance and left for about an hr, forgetting the top was partially off. Dead 22" arow. :(

Update: Black Aro seems to be doing great. His eating is not quite normal, but there is no swelling, and little redness left. It has been less than a week so I think he is going to be fine.
