Wounded by monster fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My betta tries constantly to eat my fingers when i'm feeding it.
I'm very glad he's small, a 12" betta would be a scary thing indeed!

Beyond that... I got nailed by a 8" small mouth bass's pectoral(?) fin spines, that was surprising and painful.
Admitedly i'd just sunk (and was removing) a hook into his mouth, so i wasn't able to get that offended.
Karma or something i suppose :P

Now my cats over the years.... They've done some damage.
Tip: Don't put cat scratched hands in fish tanks, the bacteria in there will go crazy! Within two hours the scratches on the back of my hand had 1/2" wide red swaths around them. Soaked it in peroxide, which killed the bacteria while destroying about half the skin on that hand.

So yeah, watch out :P

My LMB bit me while cleaning the tank. Left a little raspberry on my wrist. Didn't think anything of it, but got infected. Now I have a scar.

12 inch midas, came home a lil tipsy forgot i didnt have lids on the tank looked over to see my fish and bam12 in midas on my lip

drew blood

yeah that hurt

my theory is i am invincible. i have messed with all my fish and put my hands in my tanks without regard to safety what so ever and never been bit. and that pales in comparison to the stupid S#$T I have done scuba diving...its honestly a miracle i am alive (and apparently after seeing that link with the porcupine fish attack, that I have all my digits still)...even more so that I have never been attacked by anything. the worst i have had is an octopus wouldn't let go of my regulator and kept yanking it out of my mouth. Got in a wrestling match with it so to speak. but I won:headbang2

<<<<my cat bit me a few times though
