outdoor life mag and field and stream mag have web sites. I like hunting fishing outdoor stuff. Never got into regular sports. Pops is from west va i grew up in baltimore. I read them mags and frequent there websites. This year seems to be so many more bear atacks then normal. Its like the year of the bear or something.

i hunt, mostly bow hunt. but i love my 30-30 and 30-06, and i can only imagine the thoughts running thru the 21yr old guys head, watching his older buddy getting mualed.. my clip would be empty and my first full of fur
Ive noticed theres been a big surge it seems in bear atcks this year compared to the past say 4 or 5 years. Its odd how they seem to be hapening once a month now.

I did some mining camp cooking when I was in my 2o's and I tell you grizzlies are a sight to behold they are monster for sure.
They basically carved a road through the wilderness to the mining camp and were doing line samples of soil.
Being the chef I got to choose between sleeping in a tent or in the wood frame kitchen. I chose the kitchen and it was quite the thing to hear the bears when they would come through the camp at night. Good thing all it took was banging on a pot to scare them away.
The guys took me out one day to show me a den that a grizzliy ripped apart to get whatever animal was in it. Impressive to say the least.
