I just transferred my 6" syno into my 75 with geo's, parrots, and the CK. The CK is chasing the syno all over the tank and actually trying to bite his ass (gludios maximus). WHY?.....and is he gonna get him? Never had aggro issues with the CK before.

gettin nervous...any ideas?

your ck has claimed the tank...if it doesn't stop in a day or 2 it will kill the syno...if you can take the ck out for a few days then put it back in it might work...

I will try that...for a night or two.

The Syno is in it's territory. Just rearrange the decor and/or remove the CK for a day or 2 like mentioned earlier.

One of the top 10 most important things to remember when fishkeeping.

Big fish eat little fish.

The Ck wants food, that's whats going on. :)

No.

The fish is displaying typical territorial behavior. It has claimed the tank for its own and will not tolerate any additional inhabitants. Hungry knifes don't attack tankmates for hunger purposes if they are too big to be eaten--at least, I've never encountered it.
