Problem is the uneducated customer will believe the 'super-knowledgable' fish store employee before some other customer. After all, he's a fish store employee, he must know what he talking about.

I have never found that to be true. A few simple quotes and questions will easily establish who knows what. People just need to have the balls to step up and do something, instead of coming home and just creating a new thread.
