You only need to raise the temperature up to about 80 to significantly speed up the life cycle of ich. Anything above that is getting dangerous. Make sure you increase the oxygen input into the water. ie. extra airstones, extra surface agitation. The warmer the water the less oxygen is dissolved in it.

80f won't speed up the life cycle at all you need to raise it over 86f. read the old school books from Jack Wattley and Dr Shmit-Focke they used to get rid of ick from their discus by raising their water temps to 90f and some salt for a couple of weeks to get rid of it. my tanks are all at 86f right because of summer with no ill effects. btw my 11yr jardini and 13yr syno angelicus has been going thru this for all their lives.

Maybe the ICH is a secondary condition to your fish already in a weaken state. You mention skin falling off........maybe consider treating with antibiotic for primary or seconday bacterial infection. I agree with increasing aeration.

Hey ive used sea chems paragaurd on all types of catfish with ich full strength with no problems... used this on alot of other scaleless and sensitive fish as well.... best of luck to you man....

Sorry to hear about this. Sounds like you have some pretty awesome fish. Hang in there.
