  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thats some speedy growing there !!!! Post some pics !!!! What do you feed it ??? I have the exact opposite..... 4 month old RTC only 4.5", and he was 3" when i got him !!!! And he's in a 265 gallon tank !!!! I've had fast and slow growing RTC's over the years but i think i got a midget :D

Cool post on size of RTC! Mine is growing like crazy too! But I do agree with messiner that 9 pounds is a little off the top for a 16" fish, 3 pounds at the most! Here's a 29" bluefish I'm holding from East River NYC that weighed exactly 9 pounds! :)

thank you, us fisherman know whats up.

My RTC was on a full stomach too. He might be more than 16" i couldn't get a good measurement on him cause he kept squirming. But he is near 9 pounds and it was a guesstamite you are right messiner.

Whats the use of arguing... sorry to say it dude, you guessed wrong.

have any recent picks of him?, prob more like 3-4lbs.

either way it still a nice fish ..:D

Weight issue aside, that fish will soon be bigger than most peoples housecats. Although my tabby is a legit 18lb!!!!!!!!(all muscle around the middle)(well maybe a little flabby tabby)
