ok so i got a 60 g its a community tank and recently finally setup a 120g moved all my fish there after about 2 weeks of cycling and been slowing transferring the water into the 120 along with new water of course.the tank is down to about 6 inches of water now and i only have air going in it so the water isnt still and gets all gross. well i got home today and omg i see tons of snails all over the rocks and glass. why did they all of a sudden pop out like that. when i was using the tank i never saw 1 snail. it doesnt really matter i guess since that tank will be stored or used as a quarantine tank now. but what im wondering is should i grab them and drop the snails into the new tank as food? there are 3 clown loaches a betta 4 rosy barbs some bala sharks. so im sure they would eat them but is it a good idea?

the clown loaches would def eat them up, why not. . .too much snails in a small tank can start to change your water parameters

well they are in the 60g that i was tearing down since all the fish are in the 120g now. so i would be introducing snails into the new tank. thats what im wondering if thats a smart idea

Hello; I prerfer to have snails in all of my tanks and have done so for years. Was the 60 doing well with the snails? If so, then it is likely the new setup will do well also. Many benefits derive from having snails in a tank.

to tell you the truth i never even notice a single snail in the 60g thats why i was so surprised when i saw them when i got home from work
