Give the employee a break. Did you look first and cannot find it then ask? Employee are there to lend a hand but not do everything for you. If in doubt you could've ask another employee. An empolyee getting minimum wage should not have to deal with people like you that go into store spending $2 and expect pampering treatment.

If he knew exactly where it was he's could've said, "Wow, what a stupid customer it's right there in fish food section!":D
 
Almost any fish shop I go into has Brine shrimp of some sort. Whether it be frozen, live or baby brine. They got it. Did you just walk in, say where is this Brine Shrimp, didnt get the answer yuu wanted, then stormed out. Why not try LOOKING yourself first.
 
I think he means that he and his Bro went shopping together at the lfs and asked the employee for b.s. After getting a "NO", his brother walked up to him with the brine shrimp in his hands. Maybe the employee thought you meant live brine shrimp?? He may or may not be stupid but we don't know enough info to make that determination at this point. Maybe we should drill him with questions on advanced calculus, The Theory of Relativity and maybe quantum physics. Then we'll know for sure, right?
 
Wow, That is so wrong, I would write a letter to the owners of the LFS demanding that the employee be fired. Also request in the future they make all employees study and memorize a complete stock list for the entire store.

Or maybe you should just give the guy a break.

and not everyone at a LFS is dumb... there are many, but not everyone is brain dead...

Agreed on all angles. You have no reason to be mad at the employee...they can't know all of the products. And not all employees are brain dead...there are many members here that work at Petcos and PetSmarts that are just as accomplished as everyone else.
 
The lfs employee stated "No" not "I don't know" thus implying that he indeed did know, and that the store in fact did not have the product in question.

This is, perhaps not stupid, but certainly ignorant of the products available at the store that pays his wages.

Perhaps lazy? possibly just fed up with customers taking his time on what he feels is a product that should be found by the customer.

In any event, I think he would have been better off stating his lack of knowledge, rather than making a presumed statement of fact, which was in fact not fact.
 
Next time you go to the store, Do this: 1) LOOK FIRST

And most importantly, 2) ASK FOR B. S. EGGS, if that's what you were looking for.
You gotta be specific.

Example: Go in a store and ask for 100 feeders. They always ask, what kind? You seem to have had a rough day, and took it out on the first person who didn't know something.

Most employees at those kind of stores are there just for a job, not because they are knowledgable.
